The first HL7 Europe Working Group Meeting (WGM) of 2025 took place from 10–14 February in Lisbon, Portugal. The meeting was hosted at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon and combined the Working Group Meeting with an EU-a-thon focused on HL7 Europe FHIR specifications and terminologies. The programme included collaborative discussions on use cases, verification of implementation guides, refinement of the FHIR specification, exchange of implementation experience, and breakout working sessions. Mayjor tracks included the European Hospital Discharge Report and Patient Summary, the European Common Cancer Model, the European Laboratory Report, Medication Prescription and Dispense, the European Imaging Study Report, and Analytics on FHIR.

The Lisbon event also featured the opening ceremony, presentations by HL7 Affiliates, and a networking reception, strengthening collaboration across the European HL7 community. Here is a link to the HL7 Europe Lisbon 2025 WGM Report with more details and pictures.
